The Salisbury Arms, Winchmore Hill
It is so easy to relax in this pub. Bright and airy but still quite traditional. Nice bar displays, nice food and drinks a bit pricey for me as a usual wetherspoons drinker but worth it for the surroundings. Be warned, once you sit in one of those sofas it will take some time for you to bring yourself to leave!

Heard it was gonna be turned into a Lloyds Bar. Has it happened yet? Used to work here for Simon and loved it but seemed to me it went downhill after he left. It's gonna need really strong Management to pull it back to what it once was I think but good luck to whoever takes it on!

The Moon Under Water, Colindale
This pub has much improved recently since the introduction of live music on a sunday night. I know this is not a typical Wetherspoon thing to do but it appears to be working very well here. The atmosphere has improved both amongst the customers and staff and appears to have deterred some customers that otherwise used to put me off going. Well done to the team there.

JJ Moon's, Kingsbury
The perfect local. Staff are superb, great with names and remembering drinks and always ready to have a laugh with the customers. Great mix of customers too. Hardly ever any trouble (unlike at Tonky Gorilla!!) And if you've never been there when there's an event on at Wembley pop down 'cos the atmosphere is amazing!
