The Gatehouse, Nottingham

I think that "ROBcamra" must have been unlucky when he called here - there is normally a good choice of well-kept real ales, as there was when I called in last Friday on the Mild Trail. Could I also, as Chair of Nottingham CAMRA, point out that despite the name used, he does not represent CAMRA or the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA.

Excellent pub with great real ales. Pool table.

The Lamp, Sneinton

Recently refurbished, this pub is well worth a visit and the well kept Barnsley Bitter and Mild are among the cheapest pints in town. Ignore previous moaners - you don't have to "knock to get in" unless you turn up very late, and you will be made welcome in here, not harmed!

The Blacks Head, Carlton

Since the smoking ban a covered, heated beer garden has been created for addicts, they will even have Sky Sports in there when the football season starts!
