Great range of beers. The ones we had were in excellent condition. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. will be back next time we are in Skipton.

The Talbot Arms, Settle

What a gem. Six hand pumps with regularly changing local ales all in excellent condition. Friendly, helpful staff, great pub food reasonably priced and spotlessly clean. Will definitely be going back next time we're in the area.

The Buck Inn, Malham

Oh how I wish I had read the reviews before visiting this pub !! To be fair the beer was in good condition but otherwise the over priced, unfriendly and out to fleece the tourist comments still apply. Go to the Lister Arms instead.

The Beachcomber, Seaford

Demolished in preparation for a retirement development

The Narrow Boat, Skipton

Good pub with wide selection of quality ales tucked down a side street just off the canal.

The Cover Bridge Inn, Leyburn

Called in again while in the area. Previous comment still stands and they've now won CAMRA branch pub of the year.

Buck Inn, Buckden

Pub currently closed with "To Let" board outside.

The White Lion, Cray

Friendly landlord and staff, good quality beer and malts, good food and plenty of it, cosy atmosphere. No TVs, machines or music. In other words a proper pub ......don't miss it.

The Cover Bridge Inn, Leyburn

This is one not to miss if you are in the area. Good beer, good food, friendly staff and a beautiful old Dales pub. Heaven sent!!

The Dinkum, Polegate

What a disappointment, a Harveys pub with only one of their beers on and not a comfortable atmosphere.

The Eagle, Brighton

Agree with previous comment. Food was good. We got there early and it was virtually empty but I eventually had to politely ask the two members of staff behind the bar, who were having a discussion, if there was any chance of getting a drink only to be told that "patience is a virtue". Customer service is something they need to bear in mind. I'll use the Basketmakers Arms across the road in future.

The Brewers Arms, Evercreech

I was recently in the village and the pub was closed and resembled more of a building site. No notices to say if or when it would be reopening.

The Star Inn, Talybont on Usk

Great traditional pub. Excellent selection of real ales, (we tried four of the ones that were on between us). Food was freshly prepared, was good quality and value. Guy behind the bar was very welcoming and had a good knowledge of the beers he was serving,(he estimated that they have about 300 different real ales on over a year and the pump clips decorating the pub did nothing to contadict this). Well worth visiting, we will certainly go out of our way to call in next time we are in the area.

The Bull's Head Hotel, Brecon

On a visit to Brecon called in on recommendation of previous comments. Pub served well kept selection of Even Evans beer. Food was good quality and value and the staff made us very welcome. So much so that we went back the following evening.

The Tai'r Bull Inn, Libanus

Having read the previous reviews I can only assume that I picked a bad day or this pub has changed hands !! It was clean but there was no real ale and the sandwiches were overpriced, (3.95 for 2 slices of supermarket bread with little filling, served on a plate with no garnish at all).
Thankfully the surrounding countryside is still beautiful.
