Super pub near near the giant of wilmington,
nice beers and a very good selection of food.

A very nice Restaurant Pub in a nice location,
near to the river.
You can moor your boat and have a beer.
Served beers are very good (shepheard neame).
Went here easter saturdayfor a meal, crowded place.
We were very disappointed with the food. I had greasy chips with haddock (20%) in batter (80%). My wife had dressed crab (rathe dry) with coleslaw out of the tin ?
We were before here and had much nicer meals. Maybe the cook changed?

The Rose and Crown, Writtle
Went to the beer festival last easter.
The beers served were very nice.
But we did not like the pub inside, a bit scruffy, gone downhill from
former visits.
