The Prince of Wales, Camberwell
Could be so good - prosperous neighbourhood on doorstep, Camberwell College hall of residence nearby, no competing pubs - but just does not pull it off.

Fantastic, characterful, not one for drinking in wine in though

Pub quiz this Wednesday was a bit shambolic - sound system poor and the question master not the best; I hope the increase in quantity of pub quizzes does not dilute the quality. Also the real ales were off which was rather disappointing. However food was good and waitress very attentive

The Joiners Arms, Denmark Hill
Very strange indeed. As previous reviewer says on a Saturday night it does feel like a trip back in time. We were sat having a quiet drink when suddenly a group of women of varying ages between 20 and 60 descended on the pub all dressed up and proceeded to drink white wine spritzers.

HAS NOW SHUT - undergoing internal redecoration to reopen as youngs pub

Sold for 920,000 - watch out for conversion into flats shortly - another loss to the local SE5 area

Ah yes I heard it had new management - maybe we can look forward to its conversion into an All Bar One type place?!

No need to come here - if you are meeting up to go to the academy walk from stockwell and go to the Far Side or else go to the Beehive or Goose - they may be bad but at least they dont rip you off

More Oval than Camberwell location-wise I'd say.
Nice bar/pub with good range of beers and other drinks. specially pleasant to sit outside on the decking on a warm spring/summer evening and watch the world go by

Smaller than many ABOs and as a result less like a pine filled barn. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful

more restaurant than pub. Not especially good and rather expensive for what it is

No not just you mate... I got distinct reminders of a church when I went to this pub. Strange

What a pleasure to come here - there were so many beautiful people here on a recent Friday night visit it was a joy.
And the Manager is indeed very fiesty!

The Royal Albert, South Lambeth
I think the pub company are more interested in the money they can make for the sale/ rent of the flats above the oub and are only continuing to provide a pub because they could not get change of use planning permission as the local authority rightly does not want to see local amenities removed. Oh dear what a dreadul pub it is though - go to the Canton, the Priory Arms or another pub instead - this pub is not worth going to

More restaurant than pub in many ways but not bad for that, good competition for the Dog House across the road. It seems to attract quite a few political types - I spotted two MPs on a recent visit dining with companions (who I assumed to be their wives)

Good welcoming pub - not become trendy like, it seems, all the others in the area

Not bad at all, slightly trendy standard pub, good food and doesnt seem to get too crowded

Big sign up saying that it was under new management when I walked past last night so look out for new developments...
Pub could certainly do with it - seems never to have more than four or five people in it at any time of the day and Wheatsheaf, Royal Albert and Canton seem infinitely more inviting

And my mate met his wife there -a nice middle class girl from Surrey- so not all bad

The Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth
Very pleasant pub which is cavernous and so we were easily able to get a seat. Prices are high especially for food
