The Dog and Pheasant, Brook

Cracking food here now the new chef has settled in to compliment the excellent atmosphere at this delightful pub. I suspect a Franglais menu is in the offing!? Delightful.

The Crooked Billet, Wimbledon Common

Refurbishment is hardly noticeable, I guess they have mainly improved behind the scenes. Still excellent all round unspoilt gem of a place!

The Foresters Arms, Horsham

Many thanks to Jo and Laura for an excellent lunch yesterday at the Foresters, if there was a prize for the most improved pub ever this would win it!

The Green Man, Putney Heath

Very friendly and convivial traditional Youngs pub, 2 minutes walk from the excellent Telegraph. With these two pubs in such excellent form a visit to Putney Heath is a must!

Crab and Anchor, Farnborough

Pleasantly surprised by this pub on an industrial estate just outside Farnborough, very busy this lunchtime! I had an excellent value huge Prawn & Avocado salad..................one of the best I have ever had.

Great atmosphere too.

CAMRA notes, can't see any? Great beer anyhow.

Good staff, bloody busy, completely understand how any food orders might arrive at different times when ordered AT DIFFERENT TIMES.

Hot chocolate avilable at Asda coffee shop before 4 on a Sunday but I will be drinking Tribute or San Miguel in the pub garden thanks.

The Black Swan, Martyr's Green

Very good except for the confused/not overly efficient bar staff. Otherwise they have got it right here.

The Plough, Cobham

Excellent all round, food, beer, staff all excellent. Is there room for a snooker table in the end room? If not you could certainly put some old pub games down there? What about some newspapers too?

Old Plough, Stoke D'Abernon

Some nice touches recently, beer range the best in the area by some way............

The Green Man, Putney Heath

Much better.............well done!

Refurbished in Youngs style but avoiding the 'restaurant' area that seems to be dominating so mmany of these refurbs. A very pleasant place for a pint - would be great to see some guest beers please.

The Fox and Grapes, Wimbledon Common

I like this pub, well kept beer, nice choice excluding the usual Youngs, Bombardier etc so common in these parts. Hogsback TEA, Doom Bar and others. Food is fine and am told is even better recently, the best thing though is Jason the landlord and his staff - so often this is the make or break of a place and they certainly make it!

Sharps Doom Bar, Tribute, Landlord, Adnams Broadside,Spitfire all on tap at this big pub on the Heath. Food was lovely. Expensive though. Blues music last Friday was exceptional as were the staff serving.Very busy too.
