The Larrik, Putney Bridge

This place is rubbish. The staff could not possibly care any less, their cask beer is flat vinegar and the rest is all overpriced. I could not fathom for the life of me why this place had more people in it than the Temperance across the road, which is a far more civilised venue, with better beer at a better price, and much better staff.

The Temperance, Putney Bridge

I'm not sure where these reviews have come from, I had a delicious meal in there with a colleague today. The chap who served me mentioned a new menu had started that day, so perhaps new chefs/manager with it? In any case, I can recommend the Temperance on today's evidence, very friendly service. Had a pint of Moorhouse Black Cat (I had asked for Guinness, but was offered this as an alternative) which was very nice too.

The Lost Hour, Greenwich

I really like this pub. I always find the staff friendly, the prices are reasonable. toilets are shabby and could do with a touch up. think the blonde manager is really nice

The Gipsy Moth, Greenwich

publover25: Have to disagree. Had Scampi and chips which was brilliant. With regard to the service, I found the girls on the bar to be chirpy and agreeable, despite being very busy indeed. The biggest problem I find is that they never seem to have any glasware! After an hour or so of service, drinks will come in whatever the bar staff can find to put them in! Surely this pub takes enough money to be able to afford wine glasses?!

Same company as the PoW in Blackheath and they seem to have all the right kit in place, so why not here...?

Still had fun, despite the wait at the bar and the inevitable Greenwich DVD sellers who seem to get everywhere

The Princess of Wales, Blackheath

Popped in a couple of times in the last few weeks, and have to say the service and general experience was absolutely spot on, both times. Came in (just to use the toilet really) on Race for Life day, expecting the place to be a teeming scrum of bodies, but there didn't seem to be much of a wait at the bar, so had a couple of pints. The beer was good, service was quite friendly, but more importantly on a day like that, was very quick and efficient. Have subsequently been in to eat, and was impressed by the 5 specials they have on during the week. My gammon and eggs were absolutely delicious.

Toilets still a bit shabby, but clean and usable. I'll be back soon.
