The Gin Trap Inn, Ringstead

To the anon person who left comments about my wife and I being whingers - being felt to be made uncomfortable at this pub before I even had a chance to open my mouth to order is going some don't you think! are you the owner by any chance or the Aussie tosser who works there!

The Gin Trap Inn, Ringstead

Went to this pub with my wife for lunch. WHAT A MISTAKE you could feel the lack of friendly atmosphere straight as you got through the door and it did not a take long to find out why. The australian barman had the biggest attitude problem I have ever known. No cheery smile or please or thank you just this I am the main man look on his face and the rest of the staff were not much better (especially his gigglehead sidekick). We had one drink and left not before I saw a family leave in disgust at the crap reception they got when they walked in. I think the owner needs to employ new staff or their clientele will diminish rapidly.
We have never felt so uncomfortable in a pub.We were made to feel like second class citizens. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

The Sailors Return, East Chaldon

Visited this pub with my wife for a meal the place was a mess with no effort to clear previous persons
'chimps tea party' at our table and it was still not cleared twenty minutes later so we left - was this a one off?

Red Lion, Winfrith Newburgh

Stopped at this pub several times this year on travels
Staff very pleasant and attentive. Very well run cosy pub with good choice of beers and good sized menu served all day (food good). Children welcome. Sizeable garden with play area. Recommended

The Swiss Cottage, Shoreham by Sea

Good attractive pub to take kids for large garden with play area and ducks on the pond, on Sundays in summer they often have a clown. Pub can get very busy on sunny days when you can end up waiting a while to be served

Cricketers, Southwick

Well run pub with good food at reasonable prices in separate dining area
Good selection of beers at slighty cheaper prices
for Sussex. Excellent viewing for sky sports and live bands. Popular with all ages. Tables on outside terrace overlooking Southwick Green.

The Bridge Inn, Shoreham by Sea

Pleasant pub in Shoreham with lovely patio garden overlooking river with good inexpensive traditional pub food, although some of the bar staff seem to have an attitude problem with customers especially the one
with Aunt Sally make up!
