Decent pub, with decent food. Packed with us Civil Servants from 5-7 Mon-Fri. Other times it's fine though. However, there are better pubs on Whitehall.

Other comments containing the words 'gem' and 'fansastic' worry me. This is an impressive building, but that's where the plaudits end. The drink is cheap, but poorly kept. The food, well it's an insult to even call it that. And it beggars belief that it maintains 4/5 sets of pumps on a 20-25fy bar yet only employs a maximum of 3 bar staff! Due to the cheap prices it is packed with the oddest mix of people on a weekday night.

Highly pretentious. Staff act as if they're doing you a favour by serving you and are only biding their time behind a bar until their modelling deal comes off. Not a good start.
Beer is good, but at their prices it needs to be. Like MichaelSmall says the DJ's are good. But there are better places to go for music and much better places to enjoy a drink.
Overall one to steer clear of, but good for the odd 'livener' cocktail if you fancy something a bit different.

The Arab Boy, Putney
Bit of a 'local' pub. Went in there for the first time a few weeks back (on the weekend) and was confronted with 'chav central'. Couldn't move for Burberry, tattooed scaffolders and teenage mothers of 3. However, on a mid-week re-visit it had a completely different clientele and a much more relaxed feel.
