Spotted Cow, Poole

I like this pub but please please don't have last nights band back or I'll be forced to drink in the Nelson. Second thoughts they were bad but not that bad

Oh dear Mr Flyboy, whats the odds we're about to have more new aliases oops I mean reviewers with positive comments but without reference to Reigate pub now?

Brewmason, says " the pub's busiest summer in living memory" maybe his memory cannot remember back to Jim Kellerway's days as landlord. That is the benchmark by which we measure the pub. How many comments here refer to "The old days"?
Busy, its empty when there is no band playing?
"Off-duty staff are not allowed to drink in the Nelson (a common rule in good pubs)" what about Kirsty's 21st? Emmas drunken evening which prompted Jasperdodds comment 7th March? Teresa, last Sunday? By his definition the Nelson is NOT a good pub.

Is Blackgander and Brewmason one and the same person? Both have comments for pubs in Reigate coincidence or what? Maybe there are several aliases, that would account for the support of the disgusting toiets and rubbish beer.
In your next mail please tell up what you are drinking.

Inn On The Quay, Poole

There last night. A good band on upstairs albeit a little boisterous with several big guys dancing with each other.
Downstairs was more comfortable. Should get better when some of the Poole regulars start to migrate here but currently full of strangers

Just a thought. There have been several comments about the unhygienic toilets. After washing my hands without soap you have to open the door. Has anyone seen the state of the handle, when was that last wiped over.
I see the price of the crap beer has gone up, was that to pay for all the landladys 50th birthday celebrations?

Call me a snob if you must but one pint of awful beer and I'm out of here, if it were cheaper, I'd even leave the beer.

I've been a regular for many years but recently it has really gone down hill. The majority of cliental are drunken louts who Anna seems to encourage forcing the more respectable drinkers away.
This is such a shame, as, occaisionally they have good bands, that is apart from when Anna starts singing, doesn't she realise they are applauding because she has stopped, its a joke.
The last straw was this evening when I took one look and walked away.
Beer is overpriced and what was all that about last summer when she tried to charge an entrance fee.
Antelope or Blue Boar for me
