The Charles Dickens, Worthing

I recently enjoyed a Sunday lunch time pint of Wells's Bombardier which was served perfectly. The staff are always friendly and you just don't want to leave this place. They were also serving two other real ales, Theakston's Black Bull and Sharpe's Doom Bar. Sadly i only had time for one pint! Will definitely go back and would recommend it to others to try. I have also heard some good reports about the food.

Sir Timothy Shelley, Worthing

I had a gathering here recently with some friends. The atmosphere was good and the ales served were excellent particularly the local Hammerpot Bottle wreck Porter which is first class. They were also serving Abbott which was good and another Hammerpot ale in addition to Directors. The price of the beer is very reasonable and the staff always friendly. I would definitely recommend this pub particularly to real ale lovers.

The Snowdrop, Lewes

My Wife and i always try to make a point of stopping here on our way back from Eastbourne. There is always an excellent choice of real ales. I had the Dark Star Winter Meltdown which was superb. They are always kept well too. The food looks good though i haven't eaten here yet. Definitely one of the best pubs in East Sussex.

The Murrell Arms, Barnham

My Wife and i went in for a lunchtime drink and something to eat. This is a truly traditional pub with huge amounts of pictures and ornaments etc. I was rather disappointed with the beer. I ordered a pint of Sea Farers which i had to send back as it tasted of vinegar. I then ordered a pint of HSB which wasn't much better. The food is incredibly cheap though. We ordered a stilton ploughmans which was 2.75. This actually turned out a to be a bread roll with a lump of cheese! This pub has had higher standards in the past but this was a disappointing visit.
