The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

Just walked past the Trafalgar hoping to pop in for a pint but it would seem to be permanently closed. If so it's very sad as it was a good pub, lively, good service, good atmosphere and seemed to be busy most of the time, taking a fair amount of its trade from St. George's I would imagine. Presumably it has been sold to be developed into another block of flats.

The Britannia, Kensington

It used to be a regular meeting place for a few of us scattered over West and South London. It used to be a fine, typical Youngs pub, although the service could have been friendlier. But after the refurbishment it is appalling. It seemed to us (on our one and only visit to the refurbished pub ever) that if you didn't want to pay their exhorbitant prices for a meal and just wanted a quiet beer and a chat, the staff weren't that interested.

The Maypole Inn, Hayling Island

Have to agree with what has already been said. The food here is absolutely superb, their gammon steaks have to be eaten to be believed, both tender and tasty. The staff are friendly, cheerful, helpful and efficient. Cannot find a bad word to say about this pub.
