The desire to drink here has witnessed a noticeable loss, no longer a get there early destination, but more of a - what a shame another drab Taunton pub ! The dark stuff is and always has been good here, but rapid expansion and change of ownership has taken its toll.

The Barton Inn, Barton St David
Great, brilliant, fab little boozer in the middle of the beautiful Somerset countryside. Muddy boots and muddy dogs, comfortable seats and the best ale for miles. Staff and locals alike are a pleasure to chat too all this and the craziest little jukebox i have ever seen. Walked in and wobbled out, what a brilliant night - will return when i can. Keep it real.

Much improved recently, great place to stop after a long walk in Tring park, food is tasty and good value, as is the range of Ales and tap beers.

Excellent little boozer, Tring has needed this type of establishment for a long time and its a far cry from the dark smokey old cave that it once was. Beer always good, the staff are warm and pleasant and there is a great atmosphere. A really good little local - well done x
