The only problem with this pub is that it is tooooooooooo busy. Why go to a pub and not be able to get anywhere near the bar. They even have an upstairs bar which is closed more than it is open. Sorry but if they want to charge entry forget it. I This one needs it's entry quota cut by half so it can be a little bit enjoyable.

The Cottonwood Hotel, Bournemouth
Now owned by guy who owns the Hotels either side. Not sure if this is a good thing yet. This Hotel good for a quiet pint and sit on the balcony with a newspaper in the sunshine. Very quiet in the evening or full of coachie peeples there is no in between. Friday still has jazz but not as good as earlier years and now put them in front room.

OK you wan-na be confused - Try this chain. The Slug is now in the Square where Casa was. This one is now called "LABEL" - wtf does that mean. Empty pub no atmos, crap staff don't waste your time.

Now all you Gander Fans - It's still there - Upstairs. Live Bands regularly. Downstairs - is GOOD -No better than that. Can still sit in the sun on the nice outside decking with FREE Wireless Access. Different themes different nights but Revolving Door on Tuesday night - Local artists get up on the stage and do their bit - Eggcellent. And also watch Enrique another night doing his Salsa.... wowie. So much better than the Karma ever was this has gone from a 0 to a 9 in my estimation. Good Luck to the new boys on this one.

Basic Wetherspoons pub. Good food. Good priced drinks but sorry I don't like your beers at all.
PS: The Staff are useless get someone who wants to do a good job not half of one.

Another excellent late bar but it gets packed. Efficient and pleasant staff who can also multi task that you don't see in any other bars in Bournemouth except maybe Downes. After drinking in here you just cannot say you don't like vodka... I never knew you could get one that tastes like cream soda. As for the specials you must ask about the mini-guinness.

Well I like it so stuff you lot so nice to sit in the sun before partying later in the evening. Pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Even the door staff are not looking for a fight in here like they do in the Litten. Ask about the discount card.

Good bar and well kept beer for a quiet drink with pleasant staff anytime. Friday early evening seems to be packed but tends to clear about 8-8:30pm. Obviously everyone celebrating the weekend. All pints are �2 a pint until 8pm.

Good bands and guinness just a pity about the bar staff and doormen. They are the most miserable bunch of t'ssers in Bournemouth. And I love the goth-girls on Friday night.

Excellent and always has been before and after the makeover. Pity it was closed for so long. This is now the best late night pub in this part of town any day of the week. Never any trouble. Pity they only have lagers but red stripe and guinness are very acceptable. Good music, nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff. This place will do very well.

This pub is probably the best toilet in Bournemouth. Ever wondered why there is so much trouble in here - just watch the bouncers they cause it all. I agree with others, has this floor ever been cleaned - Wonder what state the kitchen is in. Please don't eat the food if you do venture in here. The only clean place in here is in fact the toilet... if you do come in here give the geezer a quid. PS: The beer is also crap.

Decent atmosphere day or evening. Party on Friday or Saturday and sometimes live bands on Thursdays. Super efficient bar staff and management and cheap food menu till quite late. Now has Big Screen TVs so much better for all sporting events. A million times better than the plastic Litten toilet up the road.
