The Plough, Little London

A terrific, traditional gem of a pub. I always look forward to a visit here, when i'm working locally in the area. Small, but very cosy, with good local gravity ales which are always worth a try.

The Thirsty Bear, London

One of those pubs, that is probably crammed to the gills with well paid city professionals and media execs during the week, so it doesn't really have to make the effort on any level. ....so it doesn't disappoint on that count!

Overpriced beer served in filthy glasses; bored inattentive, and untrained barstaff; and zip atmosphere. Not good :(

Ashbys, West Ealing

Not a great pub, but maybe i caught it on an off night. I had an an encounter with the local hostile drunk, and swiftly left before things turned violent. The barstaff seemed completely indifferent to the situation. Your definitely better off staying in Flanagans, next door.

The Ham and Blackbird, Farnborough

It's got worse. Less atmosphere than the moon, no ales, and morale amongst the staff seems to be rock bottom - which seems to speak volumes about the 'new management'.

If nothing drastic is done, i can see this place ultimately going to be another block of flats, as soon as Wetherspoons opens up around the corner.

The Old Courthouse, Cove

A decent boozer with friendly barstaff and a good atmosphere, which is sadly marred by the cliquey behaviour of some of the locals. Worth sticking your head round the door for a quick pint though!
