The Phoenix, Alexandra Palace

As afore mentioned by the other reviews, this could be a really great pub, its curse however is its brilient views and prime location because it means that the management dosent have to work for the money but with the size of the interior and exterior of this location you cant help but wonder why they dont do a few simple things like introduce some acoustic nights, guest beers and customer service. I understand that durring the day this is a standard tourist support but in the evening, with the lights twinkling on the horrizon, this could be so much more.

The Plough at Langford, Langford

This is a nice enough pub for a vilage were everyone seems to know everyone else's business... The locals are generally friendly and the beer and food of a good quality, however, with only one other pub now remaining in the area, this pub could be really good but it seems to be that there is an issue with Green King, who only seem to be interested in hiring the management with the biggest pockets rather than those who would give the pub the biggest boost.

Marquis of Cornwallis, Bloomsbury

Good pub for a meet up, lively atmosphere, good wines and beers, good food, can have a little bit a snooty atmosphere which is some times due to the bar staff but on the hole this is fun pub after work or at the weekend.

O'Neills, Muswell Hill

This is a strange one; I normally find ONeills fairly unexciting and a little to ladish. This pub is not an exception to the rule- it is ladish, the bar staff can be as miserable as any other chain pub, the bitter is best avoided and the food is bountiful and well-cooked but in chain pub tradition- not greatly interesting. So, an average chain pub? Not exactly
For one thing ONeills has a music licence which being an Irish themed chain you may not think that is a good thing but the music is a good, inoffensive mix of pop spliced with a little stroke me clover music. The other degree of separation is that this pub gives you that life long atheist dream of getting more than a little drunk in church! The shear mismatch of ONeills Irish flamboyance and the delicately preserved architectural curves of the church make this a really interesting evening out! For the historians ONeills have saved a nice building from going to waste or being turned into a bunch of poorly designed trendy flats!

The Alexandra, East Finchley

Love this pub, love the jukebox, love the decor, love the bar staff, love the beer, love the posters, love the lighting and most definaitly love the word voluptuousness! only thing this place could use is a slot car track!

The Old White Lion, East Finchley

Every time i have been to this pub it has been a pleasure, i havent found the staff hugely friendly but they have never been rude or pretending to be mega excited which is almost as bad! i have usualy been durring the day so i havent had any issues with poor service or understaffing and my food for the price i feel was really good and quite sizable, also, good beers!
