The Plough, Walthamstow

Nice pub, got a good feeling before I walked in and was met with a smile and good service. Beer was good. I like the fact there is an entertainment bar, its not massive but that adds to the appeal for me. Good to know there is somewhere to go to see different types of entertainment too.

A good start, I shall return.

The Dukes Head, Walthamstow

A revolting smell hit me when I walked in - service was quick but beer not great. I felt extremely uneasy in here as if in the wild west! Some loners stared at me as if I had 2 heads.

Thats one to cross off my list, think I will stick to the village as this place did not impress me one little bit. From reading past comments, it seems its got some way to go to get shot of the bad press. It could well start by sorting out a decent niff in the place.

The Pig and Whistle, Walthamstow

hmm, you get the feeling vetnurse might be related or actually BE one of the owners by the past post!

As for the greatest steak night in London, I would suggest you need to try other places first! I am new to the area and have not tried the food myself so its only fair i make a comment on that at a later date should I try for myself.

Its a bit worrying that the pub shuts randomly, is this really the case?

Anyway, the pint I had was fine, the service was quick and I was met by a smile. It was extremely quiet in there but it looked homely enough, the meals sounded quite expensive though. I may not have been here long but I can tell you now Walthamstow should not be charging inner London prices!!!

The Nags Head, Walthamstow

First time in here on Friday and must admit I enjoyed my pint. Yes, as previous comments say, it was more expensive than what I experienced in the area but it tasted good and I felt like I was in a welcoming pub. Would go back.

The Flower Pot, Walthamstow

First time in here on Friday and saw 'Stupid Cupid'. I didn't stay long. Must admit bit of a strange place, seemed friendly enough but advertised another pub down the road? Sink was hanging off the wall in the gents and the Fosters tasted pretty rank.

Could do with a clean-up.
