Hell hole, stinks of bleach as soon as you walk in, land lady is rude and the service is shockingly slow.... much better places to go in the area.

Not a fan of this bar at all, very small, bar staff seem more focused on chatting as opposed to serving drinks (I know that Guinness is supposed to settle during pouring, but waiting 4 minutes from it being poured to being given the beer is ridiculous, especially when me and the boyfriend are the only people in the pub)
Also when it does get busy it tends to be media types/hipsters, it is also quite expensive.

Pretentious, full of Hipsters, expensive and very rude staff... wouldn't drink in here if the drinks were free.
Shame as the pub itself is lovely and feels welcoming, just a shame about the crowd, staff and prices.

The Salmon and Ball, Bethnal Green
Me and a few friends often go in to the Salmon on a Saturday night before heading into central, never a bad night, it used to be a shit hole but has been turned right around and is now one of our favourite pubs in the area. }
Always a good mixed crowd in, hardly ever any trouble, and on the one occasion I have seen something about to escalate it was dealt with quickly and fairly by the guy behind the bar.
Quite cheap drinks prices, with 3 vodkas and mixers being less than a tenner, not bad for being 1 tube stop away from the city.
Definitely should be your first choice for a drink when leaving the underground! (as it is literally 3metres away!)

The Approach Tavern, Bethnal Green
Nice pub, good food, bit expensive but it is worth a visit, good selection of beers and wines so a big hit with me and the fella.
