Chaplins, Rowley Regis

Now called The Bulls Head, landlord extremely accommodating & friendly. Ale selection limited but has promised to improve. Interior a little bare but again improvements are being done gradually.

A very pleasant place to while away a Saturday afternoon.

Old Moseley Arms, Balsall Heath

Well worth a visit, the ales are excellent, the locals are friendly (if prone to putting Chas n Dave on the jukebox) and we could have happily stayed in here all afternoon.

Also make sure you visit the Lebanese bakery round the corner if feeling peckish.

Goose At The Fighting Cocks, Moseley

Pretentious and with children sat on the bar - no thanks.

The Prince of Wales, Moseley

Popped in here a couple of weeks ago. Really good selection of ales, very pleasant & knowledgeable bar staff and a menu of about 26 rums to complement a marvellous selection of single malts. Well worth a visit.

Metro Bar and Grill, Birmingham

Full of suits and pints of lager. Avoid and go to the Old Contemptibles.

The Sir Robert Peel, Rowley Regis

Great little local pub - serves a nice pint, friendly locals and delicious range of cobs behind bar. Be sure to buy a pack of pork scratchings for the cat.

New Inn, Middleton Cheney

This pub has changed hands recently but I haven't been, would be interested to hear from anyone that has.

It was brilliant, great beer & good food and with live music on Friday nights - always a party!

The Bull, Birmingham

I just love this pub. It's a proper pub in a heavily industrial part of the city. The landlady Rose is very welcoming and friendly, the beers are well kept and served. My husband always goes for the guest beers and I like a pint of Pedigree in between bottles of red wine.
The food is home cooked and plentiful with simple Irish fare being very popular.
The interior of the Bull is full of old jugs, mugs etc hanging from every beam, eclectic victorian furniture and mismatching plates add to it's appeal. The exterior has recently been painted black which makes it very smart looking and a big improvement.
