The Queen Boadicea, Clerkenwell

A good local just between Clerkenwell and Angel. Pretty good atmosphere, and decent beers.

The Well, Clerkenwell

I really like The Well. It just edges as my favourite of the St John Street lot. More relaxed and friendly than the others. Some decent beers too.

The White Bear, Farringdon

Your average pub. It's fine for a pint. You can sit out front too. Usual beers, nothing special.

Hat and Feathers, Clerkenwell

Avoid unless it's the only pub left open... Only it gets any marks at all is because you can get a cold beer here - it's only virtue.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street

One of the best historical pubs in town. Beers are pretty good, food pretty average. Well worth a visit though. Mind your head while wandering through..

The White Swan, Holborn

This is a great little pub. It is, as has been said, very busy at lunch and for post work drinks, but a little later in the evening it's the perfect place for a drink if in the area. Definitely one of my favourites in the City.
