The Manor Inn, Godalming

If its sunny and you fancy a walk and a drink in a beer garden it is the perfect location being situated right on the towpath.
If its raining, you want good service and are hungry go somewhere else.
Food is rubbish, they would struggle if the microwave broke down! Staff couldnt care less about the customers and very poor value for money, oh and service is incredibly slow.

The Sun, Godalming

If you avoid hanging about at the bar with the "interesting" locals and get past the funny looks when you walk in, its a great pub. Good selection of drinks, reasonable prices and the food is exactly what you would expect - simple but effective.

The Inn On The Lake, Godalming

Lovely pub, food is always good. Service is very friendly but you might need to ask more than once for something (try 4 times!!) and they do seem to run out of a lot of things when busy.
Lovely atmosphere inside and out. Certainly worth a visit.

Bel and The Dragon, Godalming

This used to be a fantastic restaurant to visit, however recently it has gone downhill. Service is slow but friendly, food is expensive and a little hit and miss. When its good its fantastic but when its bad its overpriced and leaves you feeling dissapointed.

The Red Lion, Godalming

This COULD be a a lovely pub....but has a long way to go before getting there.
If you like dirty glasses, sticky carpets, frosty welcomes and dodgy food then this is the place for you.
Food is grim and best avoided - soggy brown lettuce in the side salads representing something more like pond slime than anything edible and leaves you questioning the hygiene of the place.
With a bit of TLC, friendly staff, a good cleaner, a chef with an ounce of care and a general tidy up this would be a great place to visit.
