The Gloucester Arms, Oxford

Best pub in Oxford. Best Juke-Box in the world.

Staff are friendly and chatty, but can be rude somtimes. Especially Joe. Good booze and BEST ATMOSPHERE for any pub there is. Addlestones is good too.

If you like rock / goth genre check out the gloc.

...One of my favourite pubs.

The Swan, Wantage

Best pub around by miles. Happy hour is 4-7 and this means 2 for any 1 shot + coke / lemonade or 2 for and pint of beer, lager or stout. 3 for any coctail.

Juke Box has some great tracks including Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Guns and Roses, Kid Rock, Anthrax, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Judas Priest, Scorpions, Motorhead, Clash and much more. The 'Happy Hour' crew are great. Stewie, Steve, Les, Myself, King Alfred (Ian) and the rest of the bunch are to be expected to be spotted at 4:00PM for opening.

...4:00PM can be a long time to wait mind, I'd rather the pun opened before, but hey, they're doing well as they are. The back bar can get full of 'casual' customers, and I expect the upstairs will be full of the 'Blakes' lot. The front bar is the 'rock n roll' side of the bar. At weekends it can get packed, but knowing everyone in Wantage helps. Sometimes people can dress the Swan up, but at heart it always has been and always will be a rocker bar. Crisps are free too!!!

...Can't wait till they start serving grub. If you're visiting Wantage CHECK OUT THE SWAN! Where you like some crazy coctail or a spirt or lager, stout or ale, this pub will cater for your needs.

The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage

Internet access is always a pluss. Great ales and 'unique' locals. Worth getting to know the customers, as they're all gems once you get to know them. Sometimes has a 'are you local?' feel to it, but it's no big worry. Meeko's a great, inthusiastic landlord and Bev keeps the bar up-to-scratch. No big variety of spirits, but do the basics, no coctail licence. Music's entertaining. Certainly worth checking out.

The Royal Oak, Wantage

Awesome. Every time I visit the Royal Oak, it's a pleasue to see Dr. Hexter and his variety of drinks. The local brewed cider and custom ales like 'Dr. Hexter's Wedding' are great every time. Variety of spirits and 2 indevidual sides of the bar. Duke box isn't too bad either. Worth checking out.

The Arbery, Wantage

Dreadfull. Hate everything about this place. The customers are pretentious posers and the staff are shallow and predantic. No real choice of drink, although they do sell Jagermeister.
