The Anchor, Southwark

Located near the FT offices, staffed by eastern europeans last time I was there, service is often really slow, especially on a sunny day. Good choice of beers though and great views over the Thames.

The Poet Restaurant and Bar, Aldgate

Food is good although it's pricey for what it is. They also have sky with a big and small screen.

The Earls Court Tavern, Earls Court

Friendly staff, good range of beers and reasonable food. Gets quite smokey when busy though. No sky tv either.

The Punch And Judy, Covent Garden

Very busy at the weekend and very smokey inside.
Understaffed & bouncers are extremely keen to kick you out and get physical before you've had any drinking up time.
They also have one of those annoying toilet monkeys that try to give you soap and tissues last time I was there.

The Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street

Busy Wetherspoons pub which tends to be extremely busy in the early evening. Not particularly cheap for a Wetherspoons but there is always an ale option and they serve food too.

The Courtfield, Earls Court

Agree with pretty much everything that has been said here, the only redeeming features of this pub are that it has sky and serves ale (John Smiths).

The Kings Head, Earls Court

Great beer selection - food looks good too.
Friendly staff, shame they don't have sky.

The Spread Eagle, Camden

Good selection of beers (it is a Youngs pub afterall).
However the toilet was a disgrace - no seat, no paper, no lock and didn't flush.

The Prince of Teck, Earls Court

Lively pub at the weekends, particularly if there is a live football or rugby game. Often quite smokey.
Food served is very good and reasonably priced, staff vary between able/attentive and rude/surly.
Toilets are in good nick with a porn vending machine last time I was there.

The Crooked Billet, Wimbledon Common

This is a Youngs pub.
Ate here recently, the food was pretty good and reasonably priced, good atmosphere and ales too.
The serving staff were friendly but were a little too rushed off their feet at times.

Printworks, Clerkenwell

Great service with attentive barstaff, as cheap as you'd expect from Wetherspoons, good decor with lots of seating, food looked good too, the only negative I can think of is that it's a bit dark as it is a basement boozer.
