The Nore, Sheerness

This isn't a pub any more - now a restaurant called Cheema.

The Hair of the Dog, Minster

Popped in for an afternoon pint. Well kept Portobello Market Porter for £3. It's a bit like sitting in someone's living room but that's no bad thing. Lots of local folk who were welcoming, as was the landlord.
This place is a bit of a gem.

The Prince Of Wales, Newhaven

Popped in after a long walk on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. One of the nicest little pubs I've been in for ages. Extremely neat and tidy interior, amiable landlord, and a nice little beer terrace outside. Harvey's Best on tap and very nice too. A bit off the beaten track but worth a visit.

The Yew Tree 'Time well spent', Reigate Hill

Popped in on a Friday lunchtime. Friendly owner and a decent pint of Young's sat out in the rear beer garden. It seems set up to attract diners rather than those seeking an afternoon pint but nonetheless a pleasant experience all in all.

The Alleyns Head, West Dulwich

Visited May bank holiday Monday afternoon. As previously noted it's somewhere closer to a restaurant than a pub but without any worrying poncy affectations. Decent ale selection on tap (£2.49 on Mondays but not today due to BH). I had a pint of Proper Job. Unspectacular but enjoyable.
Chose to eat. My wife was impressed by the vegetarian options and enjoyed the battered mushrooms. I had the beef and Doombar ale pie with mash and it was fantastic.
Mixed clientele, mostly locals, some families. Ample seating outside.
Impressed. Nice pub. I'd visit again.

The Swan, Bloomsbury

Decent backstreet boozer feel. Range of ales - nice to see Young's London Stout outside of a Young's pub. Compact interior and friendly bar staff. Not a spectacular find but a nice pub nonetheless.

The Tulse Hill Tavern, Tulse Hill

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Reopened at the end of 2014. Nice pint of Belhaven Black Scottish Stout. Reasonable if not remarkable range of ales on tap, mostly local London offerings. Nicely stocked bar for spirits and cocktails. Welcoming feel - not over poncey and avoiding out-of-the-box shabby chic. Mixed clientele with some toddlers amongst them. Dining area and outdoor seating out back. A nice feel to it.

The Royal Standard, Croydon

Dwarfed by the Croydon Flyover, the Royal Standard feels like a local and is all the better for it. Five minutes walk from the splendid Fuller's pub The Spread Eagle, the Standard offers equally well kept ales in a more homely environment. Highly recommended, despite the rare risk of being run over when crossing the road to the beer garden.

The Doric Arch, Euston

Always a pleasure to have an afternoon pint in the Doric. Decent Fullers range including London Porter. Had a burger today. Decent but a bit overpriced for what you get, in my opinion. Since being done up the pub seems brighter and cleaner. The staff are friendly enough for me.

The Waterfront, Streatham

Visited Thursday evening. Quite large with wooden tables and seats. Music moving towards decent ska and only slightly intrusive. No real ales on tap and nothing obvious bottled. Both Camden Pale Ale and Camden Hells were off so had a Swiss 1963 biere. An above average selection of lagers. Didn't have any food. Staff friendly and got busier as the evening went on.
