The Lamb Inn, Ashby de la Zouch

Oh Dear! This place used to be THE venue in Ashby a few years ago. Thursday nights, pound a pint, were rammed with reasonably normal people.

Now it is usually filled with the kind of scum who sit in the pub all weekend, leaving only to go to the bookmakers or down the nearby alley to Tasha's "massage" parlour. You know the types, they seem to speak a completely different language. "Hello are you alright?" becomes "hee, areet?"

I mean seriously, this is not the kind of place I would bring my children (if I had any) - but people do!

The Bulls Head, Ashby de la Zouch

Hmmmm, somehow me thinks the last poster works for the chain....

Rarely visit the place, but a couple of my friends work behind the bar and I'm only ever served by them so can't really comment on other staff.

One lady 'bouncer' is a little rude and a bit of a jobsworth. You're a bouncer dear, not Margaret Thatcher.

The Plough, Ashby de la Zouch

By far the best beer drinkers pub in Ashby. I'm not really the kind of guy to sit in a quiet pub all night and sup ale, but if I were, this would be the place to go.

Nice place to meet up with the lads, sink some pints and have a game of darts before heading into town.

The best "all day session" pub in Ashby.

Zeus, Ashby de la Zouch

One to visit if you're into "winter sports" or similar activities.

BUNKA, Ashby de la Zouch

This place is really quite dodgy. Avoid if possible - there are plently of other late night venues open in Ashby now.

Entry price is extortionate if you're past 11pm, beer is overpriced and awful and the toilet floor is usually covered in a cocktail of urine, vomit and (occasionally) blood.

Can get rough at times and security staff tend to be *ahem* slow to react if you're not with the right crowd. Door staff are are sometimes miserable and rude.
