What a great find! Arrived at the end of the lunch period and was on my third pint before I knew it! Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and were especially pleased when I cleared my table for them. Good real ale and food wasn't bad.

The Cock and Lion, Bond Street
Great beer and great food at reasonable prices - less than �5 for a chilli bean cottage pie. Don't order extra fries - you won't need them!

Beware the dog dirt in the beer garden grass. I'm glad we missed the previous weekend's BBQ!

I agree with Meach's comment about the pub - and about pubs in Slough in general!

Very enjoyable real ale, good value food and very welcoming staff. One of the very few pubs in Windsor and Slough that allows children in (to the non-smoking areas)during the evening. I know that children and pubs do not really mix - but we beer drinkers sometimes have no option but to take them along. We have lessons to learn from the Continent in this respect.

The Baglan Hotel, Treherbert
Good selection of Real Ale in this bar of real characters. The pub has been in the same family for many years. Bed & Breakfast available. Advice sessions also available: the landlord - "Jeff the Baglan" - is a local Councillor!
