The Speaker, Westminster

Excellant ales served by friendly staff and landlord. Home made food and fresh made sandwiches. Off the beaten path. Why did it take me 6 months to find a place like this 5 mintues from my (current) office? I'l be going back, often.

The Jugged Hare, Pimlico

Lancer was in fine form, tasting very fresh and clean. The namesake pie was delicious. Interesting space, being an old bank, its a bit cold and high ceilinged in the main room.

The Castle, Notting Hill

Fascinating place, a bit quite on a Wednesday evening, but it oozes character and the area around the pub is full of that too. Excellant services, great real ale on tap and food much better than one would expect for a low price (6.50 for steak sandwich with chips). If it was closer to a tube station, would be a regular spot.

The Hereford Arms, South Kensington

Busy little place on a Monday evening, and not even footy on! Nice servers, god atmosphere, decent fuller's christmas ale. Chicken Caesar salad was quite bland, and chicken a bit dry, but salads in general in the UK seem to me that way. Overall a good spot though, would try it again.
