The Volunteer Riflemans Arms, Bath

Had a great lunch. The Chilli's pretty good and they've had Courage Best (remember that?) Butcombe, Honeybear and something else I can't remember. Since it was lunchtime I focussed on the Courage. Nostalgic. Recommend it.

The Five Mile House, Duntisbourne Abbots

I love this pub. I started goung there when it was a tumbledown, old fashioned roadside Inn run by an old lady whose name escapes me at the moment. It's been sensitively modernised and retains its small traditional bar alongside a number of dining/drinking areas. Excellent food, excellent welcome, excellent beer, easy parking. Just brilliant

The Hare and Hounds, Bath

Great location with easy parking and an amazing view from the garden. Beer OK and my Sunday lunch was fine. A family pub

The Volunteer Riflemans Arms, Bath

Great little pub. Good, eccentric selection of well kept beers, excellent value lunches, friendly people. It's small, so it's difficult to keep yourself to yourself, but brilliant if you're happy to talk to others.
