The Tabard, Turnham Green

This is a conveniently located pub very close to Turnham Green Tube station. The outside area is pleasant in the summer, the theatre is a nice addition to the atmosphere of the place when something is on there and it's not very expensive considering it's in west London.

Bar@1, Hammersmith

This is a fun and friendly cocktail centred bar. The bar staff are welcoming if a little over the top at times. It gets pretty packed after work and on weekend evenings so it can sometimes be a challenge getting somewhere to sit as it isn't huge. Also as has been mentioned beware if you're intending on having a quiet conversation, as that won't be happening here.

The Queens Head, Hammersmith

The previous comments seem to cover pretty much everything about this pub but I wanted to add one as I like it so much. What I would also say is how much the pub feels part of what is a friendly local community, hosting residents' nights as well as putting on activities such as a monthly 'Treasure Quest' which takes place around the local area. I've not done it but by all accounts this is very enjoyable and taken part in by people of all ages.

It's also very popular with people from close by offices both at lunchtimes and in the evenings, as well as being a favourite for socialising for many others. Tucked away on the tranquil Brook Green it has a lovely atmosphere and always in my experience efficient service. The menu is nothing particularly remarkable but the food is very good and quite reasonably priced considering the location. Drink is not cheap, well over 4 for a glass of wine or a pint (ale around the 4 mark I'm told but my friend was impressed with the quality of the usual Fuller's offerings here).

The pub is also far bigger than it looks as has been mentioned, lots of snug places to sit, and the garden is one of the best places you could spend a summer's afternoon/evening. So as you may be able to tell, I'm another fan of this pub.

The Havelock Tavern, Kensington

This is a very nice place tucked away in a lovely area. I agree with the last review about the upbeat feeling, it's very popular, the staff are helpful and the food is excellent. The menu changes quite regularly as they try different things, and I've never been disappointed with it. Well worth seeking out.
