The Punchbowl, York

Old pub with plenty of tradition, apparently a haunted pub.

Ye Olde Starre Inn, York

Not bad at all with lots of ale.

Alleycats, York

Masons Arms, Knaresborough

Surprisingly quiet local, worth a visit.

Bay Horse Inn, York

Nice local pub, worth a trip here.

The Keystone, Guildford

Well it is still a pub Pilgrim and I dont see that changing. The beer was very good today with at least 3 guest ales and around 5 in total. Only about 3 people in there on a Week day afternoon so they may be short of customers. No sign of a menu so I assume they dont do food here. Looks a bit tired around the edges and nothing to do such as watch TV for example.

The Legion, Guildford

I'd have to agree with Dexie there - unless things have changed?

Old Orleans, Guildford

More like Dead Orleans.

Flares, Guildford

Was pretty good when it was called Edwards but can you take a place called Flares seriously?

Bar Med, Guildford

Bar Med has now been closed for a good few months, always closed when I walk past at prime time. Will it be opening as a bar again? This is the question.

The Star Inn, Guildford

Shepherd Neame beers. Hardly my favourite but this old pub seems to be doing better lately - more customers than usual perhaps it is the cakes they are selling? A reasonable fish and chips which was value for money.

The Kings Head, Guildford

Very reasonable pub, can get crowded at the weekend. At least 5 real ales on with Hobgoblin being the best.

The Three Pigeons, Guildford

The beers seem to be London Pride and Timothy Taylor. Both are very good - however selection is a little limited for a premium pub on top of the High Street. The food tasted good, although there have been a number of times when they are out of stock of what they are supposed to be selling. The staff try to make an effort, but they can be unfriendly at times. 6/10

Rodboro Buildings, Guildford

Ahh lets write another pub review on this shitty pub review website! The wetherspoons branch contains a decent choice of real ale at reasonable prices, indeed very cheap prices. The Alton ale today was in good shape, although I was tempted by the Ruby Ale.

The George Abbot, Guildford

Although that one pint of Abbot Ale left a hangover! This pub must run its beer bad or Greene King has gone downhill.

The George Abbot, Guildford

Wow - no comments for over a year, perhaps there is not enough to say about the George Abbot! It was my first visit for nearly a year as well, little had changed regarding the pub as a whole. The bar area was blocked up with people who I assume were locals, but they did seem a little funny nontheless. The only beer I could make out from the handpump was the Abbot Ale so i Plumped for that one. The seating area was quite relaxing and the place seemed like a Gastro Pub. No TV screens, then again they only show Sky news dont they? No big deal and a reasonably relaxing pub for a pint of real ale.

The Boatman, Guildford

Ah yes the good old Boatman ;) The pub itself had 2 barmaids working which was a bonus ;) Although any sexual innunedo was avoided at all costs. Two ales stood out, one being a Hogs Back beer of some type, the other beer being a Tillingbourne Ale. The Tillingbourne was a decent pint of a beer as you'd expect. The pub was basically completely empty on an early Wednesday afternoon. Where do the people of the River Wey in Guildford go? A reasonably relaxing pub to have a drink in, although a little too gastro to my taste. Nothing much to look at for entertainment other than views of the River.
