The Spyglass Inn, Ventnor

Have visited this pub on many occasions and different times of the year. Normally when we are ferrying visitors arund the island.
No problem with the food but I too have found the staff unfriendly.
It is not on my regular visit list for this reason.

The Dairymans Daughter, Arreton

Have visited this pub once in 2004. The menu was varied and food good. Good value. Would apeal to all age groups.

The Chequers Inn, Rookley

I have visited this pub on a number of occasions over the last ten and have always had a good meal.
I agree that it is now too big and impersonal.
We normally eat in the back bar not the restaurant as we prefer child free facilities.
This pub does offer good family facilities in the main restaurant.
We try to avoid it in the Summer months
