The Orange Tree, Thornham

Only stopped for a pint (but had 3). Under new management since June 2009 (new landlord is Mark). Friendly welcome, real fire and great beer. Didn't eat but looks to have a fab menu & it's good reputation for great food is known widely. Wil be back soon......

The Ancient Mariner, Hunstanton

Under new new ownership. Probably more suited to the over 50s. Nice friendly staff. Good looking menu (but didn't eat). Clean & tidy little bar. Two real ales. Beer was very good. 5/10

The Winterbourne Arms, Winterbourne Dauntsey

Visited this pub on Wed 26 Aug'09.
GREAT beer. 4 real ales: 3 from "The Hidden Brewery". Food menu looked very nice but I didn't try any as only wanted beer. This is a nice quiet local country pub from what I saw. Big car park too.

The Green Dragon, Haddenham

Great beer & FANTASTIC food. A great place for lunch, dinner, or just a beer.

Crispin Arms, Wigan

What a FANTASTIC pub!!!

This is a really nice place to go in Wigan (although not near the town centre). It's run by John & Val, and they make a real effort to make sure the beer is 1st class, and it's a very clean, tidy, and welcoming pub. They have pool, darts, and sports shown on several TV screens.
Their Guinness tastes as good as any top Dublin bar too.

The Star and Garter, Thame

Nice friendly local pub. Great food, and they have pool, darts, aunt sally, etc. Beer is always very good too.

The Cross Keys, Thame

The Cross Keys has transformed from a run down pub at the end of the Upper High Street to being a clean & tidy pub with a very smart appearance. Inside you'll notice a massive difference from years gone by. The new management (Pete & Trudi) offer SIX different high quality real ales. These are continuously changing so you can get something different nearly every day. They are absolutely fanatical about both the pub and the quality of the real ales that are served. This, put together with the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere make this pub the new "great place to go" in Thame for the decerning drinker. In my opinion, this is now the best pub in Thame (and for many miles), so it's well worth a visit.
