The Royal Oak, Wantage

I dont really have a local but this was it for a while. Beer is first class, as are the staff. Only down side is the smoking, so I dont go there anymore. Maybe when the new regs come in I will go back.

The Arbery, Wantage

When this bar opened it was a refreshing change to what else was in Wantage (at that point the King Alfred wasnt open). They served food upstairs, and the big sofas and big windows allowed you to watch Wantage go by. Then it suddenly all changed. They closed for a few weeks, re-vamped and drove the business down matrket as fast as they could.

King Alfred's Head, Wantage

One of the best pubs ever. Best pint of San Miguel in the area, all non smoking, and the food is fantastic.

The Maybush, Newbridge

Excellent setting in the Thames and great for a summer evening beer if you like Green King. Food unremarkable.
