Not too bad in the early evening but can get a bit dodgy late on at a weekend. Beer (IPA & Speckled Hen) are well kept and the Thai food is quite good. Also the bloody football is kept down unless there is a bit of a crowd in.

Have to agree with ppworth79. If your face dont fit the policy seems to be get f**k out. Was in there a month or two ago for the football and the woman was going around checking the leval of beer in some peoples glasses and demanding that they leave or buy more. A bit steep in a full pub with less than ten mins of the footy to go. The little runt of a landlord was safe behind the bar just smirking away.

It's good to have a pub doing real ale around here at last. Speckeld Hen was fine and then ran out but the IPA was ready to go. Seems quite friendly but it can get a bit noisy when the football is on.

Yet another old blokes pub which I suppose suits some people. Not me though. too quite for a Wednesday at seven in the evening for my taste. Being the only girl in the place could have been a bit scary but everyone was non-intrusive so that was OK. Still the place was clean and toilets very good. Would give it another go as I have had it recomended, but, no real ale so that is a bit of a big NO.
