The Globe Inn, Lympstone

Just an update on the Globe, since my first visit. Been back numerous times, because its the only pub in the village with any real atmosphere. The food is good and the chefs seafood is always good. Landlord and landlady, Dave and Sheila are always welcoming and you will see some village characters. Luckily for a village like Lympstone we still have one little gem of a real pub left. The Globe is it.

Beers currently on, Bass, Otter, Adnams Broadside, Aspalls Cider, plus the usual lagers. Best pint of bass in the area.

Enjoy

The Redwing Inn, Lympstone

Nice pub, recently refurbed and a bit more "Restauranty" than "Pubby", but good beer selection, 4 plus ales 4 ciders and good grub. Plus the benefits of being a free house means good beer prices, currently an ale for about 2.60 always on the tap, which is a cracker. The Palmers is good and they also have "Chalkies Bite" on from Rick Stein, which has a slightly ginger tang and is great with food. Worth a try and good garden and parking available.

The Globe Inn, Lympstone

Went in on Saturday after a cycle ride. Superb pint of Otter, nice warm surroundings and a friendly Landlady. Menu looks good, especially the chefs seafood platter so will be back to try some grub.
