Walkabout, Wimbledon

Went there a few years back and it was pretty boring really....compared to other Walkies.

Toilets did not have a flush option so there was urine everywhere.

Walkabout, Shepherds Bush

Agree with Chav_man about the urinating at closing time.

The Counting House, Bank

Nice after work city pub, though haven't been for about 18 months, hope it is still good.

A few nice evenings there and quality toilets. London Pride is a good purchase.

Go the Counting House.

The Wellington, Waterloo

Been in once or twice for friends partys.

Average - no atmosphere at all.

Probably will never go again.

I saw people pissing in the urinal.

Cubana Waterloo, Waterloo

Not a bad place on a Weds or Thursday night for a few late night cocktails.

I felt very "Latino" by the time I left - drunk and swearing in Spanish.

The Hog in the Pound, Bond Street

My mates and I used to go here weekly for a couple of months after the 9/11 attacks and discuss the situation while getting smashed. We only went there because it was central for everyone coming from all parts of London and close to transport & because they sold jugs of beer for about 9 squid - a rarity. After about 10 times we finally became sick of it and moved on to others with more better atmosphere. Agree with general comments that it can get as smokey as hell - one night our eyes started watering as most of our group was smoking and the airing system pushed the smoke back down on to us....disgusting, but amusing.

Walkabout, Rugby

Toilets are pathetic, stunk of piss and crap. Haven't been cleaned for about 3 years I reckon.

The Walkabout, Covent Garden

Got absolutely hammered in here once with a bloke called "Rhino nuts" - he drunk me and my mate under the table, ended up getting kicked out at closing with a few Steinlagers in each hand as they were cheap that night. So good place if you just want to get smashed and wake up with a splitting head ache. Also had a good Aussie burger - dingo meat.

Woodins Shades, Liverpool Street

Good after work drinks type of pub - if you are meeting one or two others only, as it's very small. Best evenings are when there is football on and everyone smokes like chimneys so you come out stinking of smoke....and the toilets usually run out of toilet paper, so don't think about taking a dump on big match days.

Nick name is Woodins Spoons (always funny).

The White House, Clapham Common

Good in summer upstairs, then downstairs is not bad if you want to perv at hot birds.

Atmosphere is pumping on a Friday night...otherwise steer clear my dear.

The Fine Line, Clapham

Not much going for it except for it's location, though ok enough for a couple of pints.

Go to The White House down the road for a good evening out instead.

The Globe, Baker Street

Very average pub, looks good from the outside but is very small inside and quite a dull atmosphere....head over the road to The Metropolitian bar for a decent night out on the booze.

Metropolitan Bar, Baker Street

Good pub, cheap beer and the Curry Club is well worth it. Toilets are well kept without the smell of piss and shit.

After work it has a good atmosphere for the masses who work in the area but don't want to pay ridiculous prices over the road....and it's right next to the tube which is handy.

The Shakespeare's Head, Holborn

As has been stated - one of the better Wetherspoons pubs around central London (along with the one next to Baker Street tube station). The beer is cheap and doesn't taste like urine mostly and biggest bonus of all is the toilets do flush.

Witnessed a chap puking up once next to our group, it made for a memorable night.

GO THE HEAD!

Walkabout, Shepherds Bush

Clearly this pub is loathed by a lot of English people or loved my most other people.

Some of the best Sunday nights of my time in London were at the Shep Bush Walkie (end of May Bank Holiday 2003 was a classic) - but I guess if you have a large network of friends it is easy to have a good time. The bogs are the worst in London...floating turds etc, saw some dodgy guy eating a sh it sandwich one time.

Snake bite Sunday - best summer afternoon drinking sessions in the world I would think. In winter not quite so inviting. Hoping for more of the same carnage when I visit in July this year.

The Walkabout, Embankment

Good pub during England football matches, otherwise, just average.

The highlight would be one red head bar staff with enourmous fun bags.
