There is cold beer and then there is freezing cold beer, need to turn the chiller down a couple of notches!!

Still up for sale, what a joke! It must be two years since Tammy and her Husband had the place. How stupid were the brewery to let them go, should have kept them in on a cheap rate rather than run the place down leaving it empty. Miss the old days, it was a terrific boozer, shame on the brewery how they treated them.

Budgens next door up for sales too, they heard that Tammy and Anthony now have a new pub in London somewhere, anyone know where love to see em again?

What has the high street now become........... bloody awful thats what!!!

Good Karaoke night on Friday. Enjoyed it and took me back as the same guy who used to do em down the road. Thanks guys for a good night, sorry about my singing though.

The Jenny Lind, still the best boozer in Hampton Hill and that is pretty amazing when you consider it has been closed for over a year..hahaha. Still miss it, understand it is now being sold as a freehold, freehouse so hopefully give everyone else a run for their money on prices. Whatever happened to the couple that ran it, they had good iodeas, a good laugh just a shitty brewery to deal with. Get ready for the return of The Jenny Lind!!!

Also agree with the bad comments on Duke of Clarence, was their last night, not changed, well it has, just got worse.

Oh my god! Once bitten twice as shy... won't be trying this one again. Can't say anything that has not been said below. Back to the Rising Sun it is.

Go this from the neighbours, it is sold and approved to become an Indian Restaurant! As if we don't have enough already!!!

Had lunch in here Sunday, it was very good. Place has had quite a makeover which was from memory long overdue. Looks like they are doing lots of entertainment taking over from where the old Jenny Lind left off, good idea as since the Jenny's close this has been missing from the high street. Good to see some old familiar faces from the past.

Been away from the High Street for a while, came back at the weekend, tried to go in the Jenny for old time sake but it was closed. Seems this is now the final curtain according to locals with the building having been sold, so it will no longer be a pub, it is sad to see it go thanks to the ultimate owners who made it impossible for the tennants to make a go of it. Got some great memories of the place during the reign of Tammy and Ant who were simply brilliant! Hope they are doing well and not put off trying again in a pub nearby, go on guys please!!! Bye bye The Jenny Lind!!

It can't get any worse can it?

Call me suspicious but strange with a new landlord, suddenly a load of positive reviews mostly from brand new reviewers!!!..... strange, but fair play nothing like blowing your own trumpet! Stand by my comments but good luck to em...

The Jolly Coopers, Hampton

Now that is what I call a damn good Sunday Lunch! Knocks spots off of any of the other Hampton boozers!!

Back on the high street after a bit of a break and could not beleive the change here. It needed it. Can't comment on food but what i hear it is meant to be good, but always get the odd off day or odd off plate I guess. Hope these new people make a go of it with so many of the other locals either gone, going or should be going. Hard pressed to find a decent pint of bitter now in the high street though all seem to be the usual Pride which is like a house bitter, need some rural brewery stuff, perhaps these people can do that?

Amazed it is still managing to continue going can't be making money. Don't see any of the old crowd in there now, don't see anyone in there now all all gone off to other homes or more likely Tesco's and Sainsbury's beer shelves and the comfort of their own sofas I bet.

Duke of Clarence, Hampton Hill

Agree with the last couple of reviews. Years ago used to be my regular, just been loosing the plot now for a while, good news is that it really can't get much worse....can it? It is a shame that it has hit such a low.

Temporary Manager in while the brewery sell it on as a restaurant or something like that, won't be a pub. Place is now dead and lifeless. Pubco just want to bleed as much from it as they can, what a shame!

Tippleman agree with your comments. Nick the fish you are right it is a democracy of sorts but as a regular in The Jenny Lind to be honest I find your opinion very offensive. The good news is the Jenny is OPEN again, under new management but open nonetheless. Not sure who has it and for how long, sure it won't be the same as it was which is a shame but at least it is holding on.. No more to say other than miss the old crew of A&T and loved it when they were there.

3 cheers and many more to Tam & Ant!! You did a great job, brought life to not only the Jenny but to the high street. You looked after us all well, plenty of entertainment, loads of laughs, what shall we do now, it will not be the same? Shame your last few weeks were not so good with the brewery playing silly beggers, they did not know when they had a good thing going, our loss now. Take care wherever you go!! Back to Tesco for a few cans at home as nowhere else to go!!!!

Highstreetdrinker u beat me to it! Wow U are right what a night, it was brilliant, my side hurt for laughing so much with crazy act they had on, oh my god! Pubs are dying everywhere we shud do what we can to make sure this one is not one of them, never known a pub to put so much effort into entertaining us with such a big variety of events and bands something every week. It shows as always seems busier than the other nearby places, 10/10!

Well the steak might be good but not good enough to save the plave as they close soon!

Shock horror!!! TThe current landlords Tammy & Ant are moving on so they tell us, this is such a shame as they have done wonders for the place and resurrected the The Jenny and made it one of the best boozers in the area by far!! But they are telling us the regulars they will still be around for a while yet, which is good. Let's hope the eventual new owners carry on the good work and keep the friendly atmosphere and events going. Gotta go and cry in my beer now and get over the bad news. P.S keep the Doombar going too, love it!

Still time to change your minds Tammy and Ant, the country life can get boring you know and we don't want you to go! Lets start a petition to keep them here!

Karaoke nights bloody good fun and well organised every time! Terrific night again......more please.

Nickthefish, as you say everyone entitled to their own opinion you too. Not sure when you went in but more staff than customers you said? That would be hard as usually only one bar maid on at a time unless the owners are there too, perhaps thats it. Nice that they are there and always show themsleves to be interested in the place which you don't see very often these days.

We the regulars and visitors love the place so much improved now. A full list of entertainment every week, good banter and always a friendly smile and a laugh from the owners who are a great couple who listen to us when we make suggestions or even the odd moan or 2 i even got my sandwich. Karaoke is always a bloody good laugh and packed out............loveit. More, more more!

Halloween Night, what a laugh, loved the makeup!

James2, bound to be dark if it is closed I would have thought, hehe! The owners open 12 till 5 on a Sunday which we think is OK given that the high street is a dead loss anyway on the sabbath and they make no secret of it with opening times clearly displayed and it was certainly open this past Sunday for sure?

Was in there last Friday too and it was packed out, had a great motown singer. They then had a disco the following night we beleive which we could not make, so two nights of consecutive entertainment, not bad we think.

Each to his own but judging by the crowd Friday I think you might be in a minority James2 with your thoughts. All have our opinions though, that is what makes life go around. The Jenny Lind, WE LOVE IT!!!

It's a shame but not the place it once was. A continuing change of bar staff and management, weird menus and so so cold, turn up the heat now and then would not go a miss. My suggestion is to head out of the door across the road to the Jenny Lind where you find most of the old Clarence regulars now.

Good note is the outside benches on a warm day but as we dont get those very often not really a benefit. Who knows might pick up

The Jenny Lind, Hampton Hill

Been a while since I commented on the Jenny Lind. The new owners (not so new now) have continued to really make the effort. Live music virtually every week, with all sorts of different acts. Really do everything they can to please us the boozers! 10 out of 10 for effort, none of the other pubs in the high street come anywhere near them for that.

Good beers, try the Doombarr really really good, got me hooked and i cant stand bitter normally. Always a freindly welcome and a laugh with Tam and Ant who both work their socks off, hope it is working out for them too as difficult times for pub as we all know, a dying tradition.

Only criticism is they dont do any food now, a sandwich would be enough when i finish my shift guys! And they have a moaning minnie of a bar maid too who sometimes spoils it u name an illness she has got it and dont make the mistake of asking about her love life, I did, never again......
Really is the best pub around the area now we should support the effort thesse guys have made. We do! Keep going .......... more Mercenary Rock godz and karaoke please...

Well what an entrance these new guys have made, wow!!! The new owners are Tammy & Ant, a great fun married couple. The place has had a facelift inside and out with more to come we are told, but good so far with a rugby theme as the previous reporter said.

A friendly welcome now greets you, and the beers are great and looked after well, such a change from what it was. A Huge TV which is perfect for watching the games and the other week they even dished out free grub during half time whilst we were there, a nice touch!

I beleive this will now fast become the pub to be seen in the high street. Great people, great place and now finally some friendly, fun owners, and fun bar staff, look out for Penny. A dynamic combination of all three of them! Keep going guys it's great, look forward to the next event or game.

We Fully recommend!!!
