St Georges Tavern (The Caxton), Wapping

The worst service of any pub within a 10-mile radius. The East European bar staff serve you drinks at random and clearly resent you having the audacity to drink during their work hours. They seem to have stolen some second, if not third-hand sofas for the main bar - which resembles a student doss-house.

Agree with the others. A nice little place, (though I preferred it before it was done up a few years ago). Lots of fun.

Old Mill, Bexley

This place is a restaurant with a pub bolted on. There is not much of a drinking area and what space there is, is filled with the local pondlife. A guy I know was seriously assaulted on a doorstep by some of its former regulars because 'he didn't look right'. Admittedly, he was an odd-looking bloke though.

I used to go to this place when I was about 17 for my pre-Zens booze-up. (I know, I know...forgive me.) It was a hovel then and it still is, despite being completely transformed from a hovel with a carpet to a hovel with bare floors.
It is certainly safe as it is full of an older crowd. But is an older and *sadder* crowd. I went there with my wife and another female friend and they were oggled at as if no women had been there before. Which may be true.
The pub has also been adopted by Charlton FC fans. Oh God...it's just awful.

The Courthouse, Dartford

You have got to be kidding...This place is a dive. Uncomfy seats, dodgy lager and barstaff that act as if they have all just been told they've got cancer. Avoid like the plague.

Agree with comments about tosser bouncers - but I don't think I've ever met a bouncer who does not fall into that category so it's no real surprise. It has the typical small-town mentality of any pub that thinks it's a club - trainers and jeans aren't too popular. (Yeah, 'cos pikies don't wear shoes...)
But it is a good pub and probably the best in Dartford, as has been said. Asbolutely rammed with girls - and the bar staff do a reasonable job of handling 100 customers at once. Paying to get in is a pi**-take - but it'll hardly break the bank.

Paper Moon, Dartford

Cheap but not cheerful. Typical Wetherspoons pub. Full of old gits and students. A shit-hole.

The Royal Victoria and Bull, Dartford

Good place for pre-club crowd on Friday and Saturdays, as has already been said. Never encountered any trouble in there myself - and they do have bouncers - but I suppose anyone from Dartford knows how to avoid trouble! Does get absolutely rammed so expect to wait a while for that pint though. Food is very ordinary - there are plenty of better places to go in town for that.

Bird In Hand, Dartford

Nice beer garden out the back and the beer is good enough. Hold the occasional disco but don't chat up any girls as they are likely to be going out with the less-than-friendly locals. Used to do a fantastic pint-with-lunch which was a bargain, and the grub is good too.
