The White Swan, Pimlico

£4.50 for a pint of Hophead! This pub is nothing special and is ordinary in many respects. Don't make an effort to visit.

The Feathers, St James's

Of all the pubs immediately nearest to St James tube Stn, this is the better one. It's probably because it's a Nicholson's and they seem understand what makes a pub work. No complaints about the staff or the beer. Plenty of room inside, can be often be busy and noisy.

The Old Star, Westminster

Strange layout inside it is a restaurant with some bars all a bit crammed and space does not feel best used. Beer was okay, above average price but it's very near Parliament Sq and St James and catches the passing trade. Won't be going back no atmosphere or sense that returning customers were needed.

The Thomas Cubitt, Belgravia

How to work this one out, where to start. It is popular and that is always a good sign, but it does get busy. If you like a pint and standing near or at the bar then you'll struggle a bit. If on the other hand you like to grab a drink and a table with your mates then you'll find it ideal - but get there early or see if you can get a reservation. The waiter service works inside and out and we have doubled up on rounds to avoid the wait.

The Cask and Glass, Victoria

It's okay to say this pub is small, they know. Good for a cheeky one and beers are well kept. Pavement pint in the summer with a big crowd on the street. Very fussy about keeping it clean and that's okay. Deserves it's rating.

The Colonies, Westminster

Definitely worth a look if you're searching for Pubs near Victoria Stn. Plenty of room out back for Summer time. Gets crowded early evening, but soon thins out. All very friendly beer all okay.

The Cask and Glass, Victoria

Good find, bar staff helpful & pleasant. Spitfire was spot on and my colleagues guinness was lovingly poured. It is small , but so what, everyone seems to cope with it. As the warmer weather approaches it will overflow nicely into the street.

The Strutton Arms, Westminster

What is that awful smell, I can't stand it. Was in here a few weeks ago and what a pong. Otherwise on other occasions it was it is and I have found it to be okay.

The Elusive Camel, Victoria

All true, we walked in and walked out.

The Albert, Victoria

From the outside, this pub looks great, cast adrift in a sea of modern office buildings. But sadly it's a stones throw from parliament sq and the tourists, bless them all, arrive by the coach load. Prices reflect this. The Albert is nearly always busy it sucks up passing trade due to it's position. So it's got a high turnover and consequently all the staff do not care, none of them. It is not interested in it's potential to be anything other than what it is, if you don't like it too bad, this pub is a policy driven machine.

Sports Bar and Grill, Victoria

We went in because all the pubs in Victoria Station were very busy. Initially very welcoming, but the prices! Holy smoke this place is very expensive for what it is and that is little more than a sports bar and nothing special in terms of beer . No atmosphere of its own and waitresses seem to realize you must be stupid to pay these prices so you get treated like a mug. Just the one visit, nothing to entice me back.
