The Globe, Baker Street

Love this pub or hate it, there is one thing to remember
You can travel ALL over the world and mention the "GLOBE opposite BAKER STREET TUBE" and you can guarantee that there is someone that has been in and knows it for whatever reason, generally "FOOTBALL RELATED"
Called in a few days ago and had a few pints, Mixed crowd in watching football on telly and generally nice atmosphere.
Had a platter to soak up the beer and that was OK too
Pretty friendly aussies behind the bar.

Metropolitan Bar, Baker Street

Called in during the beer festival as did a bit of a Wetherspoon crawl in London that week
Excellent range of ales, possibly the best range out of all the spoons visited, 6 in total
Ones to recommend were Abbot Reserve and Old Tom
Also good to see some Twickenham Ales on which is rare in central London
Only negative was no Grand Union beers on

Metropolitan Bar, Baker Street

Great Grand Union beers on and Honey Porter a delight
Nice Decor with high crested ceilings, Service good
Worth a trip just for the Honey Porter alone

Ye Olde White Horse, Aldwych

What a find
This is how pubs should be, tucked away down a little street and not the size of a department store with no character
Ale good and lager pretty good too
Surprisingly very few students considering its next to LSE

The Bridge House, Tower Bridge

I used to live near this pub and used it rather a lot
The Aspel cider being the biggest attraction
Food good, Staff very nice and friendly
Its just a shame there isn't more pubs like this one, It is on the expensive side but this appears to keep the idiots out
Called in there on MARATHON day and it was packed with charity supporters and reporters, What a great atmosphere though

The Allsop Arms, Marylebone

I use this pub quite a lot to watch FOOTBALL as it has several screens and doesnt attract idiots
Saying this the Landord Chris has been there well over 15 years and has a low tolerance for timewasters
Food good, Beer always good. Not a typical SPIRIT pub
