Ivory Peg, Chelmsford

I don't go there regularly because it really isn't very nice but was in on Saturday night for a friends birthday.

Thugs on the door were so unpleasant and aggressive that we all left.

A complaint has been made to Weatherspoons !

The United Brethren, Chelmsford

Under new Management. Was never a bad pub but really becoming worth a visit if you are that side of Chelmsford.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. In the same league as the Orange Tree and the Hop Beer Shop.

The Royal Steamer, Chelmsford

In serious danger of closing down unless a buyer can be found. Temporary Landlord / Landlady leave after the weekend and they have been the only good people in there for a while.

Hop Beer Shop, Chelmsford

A place for proper drinkers. Four beers on, A couple of ciders and a large selection of bottles. I think they may even have a small sherry available for the ladies.

O'Connors, Chelmsford

Not worth visiting. Trys to be everything to everyone and fails. How could the Prince of Orange become such a dull pub?

The Queen's Head, Chelmsford

Went back recently to see if my previous comment was unfair. It wasn't !!!

The Orange Tree, Chelmsford

Watched all of the recent NZ V England matches here. Good breakfast at an excellant price and a plesent knowledgable crowd.

In my opinion the quality, and selection of beer is some of the best in Chelmsford. Well worth a visit.

The Royal Steamer, Chelmsford

Have to agree with Robs comments about the pool table. The pub isn't big enough for it and it just gets in the way. Good crowd in there and the beer is good.

The Queen's Head, Chelmsford

Not a patch on the Orange Tree. I've got no complaints about the beer as it has been consistantly good but there is simply no atmosphere.

The Ale House, Chelmsford

Good pub, good beer, Getting some good bands in and a nice crowd. Well worth a visit if you are in that part of Chelmsford

The Sweeney's Bar, Chelmsford

Hopefully closed for good. I've nothing good to say about this pub (except that it's closed)

The Railway Tavern, Chelmsford

I drink there regularly and it hasn't killed me yet. A few lost days but still alive (if you can call living in Chelmsford being alive)

The Wheatsheaf, Writtle

Great pub. Regularly travel from Chelmsford for an evening there. Tony & Barbara know how to run a pub.

The Victoria, Writtle

Closed and demolished !

Que Pasa, Chelmsford

Private21, 10 minutes is a very long wait when there is noone in the bar except for the girls that the barmen are showing off to. It's the only pub in Chelmsford that I've posted any negative comments about and they are well deserved !

The White Horse, Chelmsford

Good pub, Cam and Chris have really turned it round.

The Samui Shamrock, Koh Samui

This bar is a 10 out of 10 Noel is a great guy and the Ovada Show band are awesome. If you're in Samui it's a bar not to miss.

The Wheatsheaf, Writtle

Don't go there. I want it to myself !!!!!

The Fox and Hounds, Chelmsford

Good local pub, well kept beer and freindly service.

It's cheap and an example of getting what you pay for, known in Chelmsford as 'The Park Bench Arms'

Que Pasa, Chelmsford

Don't go there ! No one in, two people 'working' behind the bar, left without a drink after waiting 10 minutes while they threw bottles around and made cocktails.

The Railway Tavern, Chelmsford

Never had an off pint in the Railway Tavern but the landlord and landlady can be a a bit rude. Belive they may be going to retire soon so things may be looking up
