Crossways, Kings Lynn

Multiscreen establishment, very popular for sports minded people.
football, horse racing, rugby, cricket and SSN all available at the same time.
Atmosphere can get very excited on saturday afternoons, where the locals can be found shouting their horses home and cheering one football game while booing another.
Very lively banter, but no signs of trouble, even though supporters of Chelsea Manu Liverpool and Arsenal were all in attendance.
I really enjoyed my 2 afternoons here.
Quieter back room for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere and has a very attractive walled beer garden.
Bar Staff most polite and prompt with service.
Hosts also offer a great variety of bar food on a Sunday afternoon.
Live music every weekend, (Friday-Sunday)
This pub has something to offer for most types of clientelle and is well worth a visit.
Abbott Ale was on top form 9/10

The Crown and Mitre, Kings Lynn

Definately the widest selection of real ales, but more suited to my Grampa than me.
5 real ales on offer on my visit, all kept in top nick.
Prices higher than Lloyds but the quality is far superior.
I would be amazed if this pub does not feature in Camra guide

The House on the Green, North Wootton

Half decent ale, dead as a dodo.

The Red Cat Hotel, North Wootton

Smells like an abundance of pets in establishment.
Not for me

The Farmers Arms, South Wootton

Locally called, The Mucky Duck.
Nice quaint country pub.
Quiz on midweek.
Nice and light restaurant area and very good small garden.
No real ale on on my visit

The Stuart House Hotel, Kings Lynn

Tiny bar but a great place for a quiet pint.
Occasional music at weekends where it does get very busy.

The Lord Napier, Kings Lynn

Nice light and airy pub.
Situated on the corner of three way junction.
Ale on offer was nice and it was the only pub I found selling Mild.
The toilet's are so funny you need to visit to see for yourself. I'm told the Gents is a place where a quick wee can take 15 mins. The reading material available is that good.
Great barmaid during the day, I think it was the landlady.
Best salad rolls on offer in town and very reasonably priced.
Couple of seats with umberella's outide for when new No-Smoking policy comes in.
Quiet part of town, but well worth trying to find.

The Globe Hotel, Kings Lynn

One of the best Spoons / lloyds I've visited.
Very Clean, great variety of real ales (April Festival). Music played at a sensible level.
Food on a par with all Spoon's but does get very busy during lunchtime.
Tremendous Beer Garden overlooking the river, without doubt worth a visit in the summer if in King's Lynn.
If you like quiet bars, avoid this on a weekend night. It has a very lively atmosphere and the natives do like to joust occasionally.

The Tudor Rose, Kings Lynn

Offers some great traditional ales at times, well worth a visit even if you just pop in to see whats on offer. Looks dark and dingy on entering but there is a
nice light back bar. Music on Sunday afternoons, not for me but probably good for the older generations like my granddad.
3 quality real ales on my last visit 8/10

Ye Olde Maydens Heade, Kings Lynn

Not bad food during the day and a half decent pint of adnams.
Nice looking pub from the outside, the interior lets it down and the natives are not the most friendly I've met.

The Lattice House, Kings Lynn

Not my type of place, old damp and smelly.
Food very ordinary (mainly ding) but did have a good selection of real ales available.
If you can get past the smell the beer aint bad.
Very pleasant walled garden out back which may be best option in the summer.

Doctor Thirsty's, Kings Lynn

Nice place for the early evening before going on to Chicago's or other late night venues.
Original designed decor and unusual balcony to look down on the bar area.
Bars both upstairs and downstairs, but upstairs rarely open.
Comfortable seating all around and does have a student night where prices reduced.

The Hogshead, Kings Lynn

Good sized pub, but has the atmosphere of a morgue.
I was told it gets very lively on a weekend. If the Friday Night I visited was anything to go by, you are lucky that there are other venues close by.
