The Murrell Arms, Barnham

A very pleasant little pub with alot of original features and loads of curiosities to look at. Enjoyed a pint of Fullers Black Cab stout and Bengal Lancer IPA. I didn't try the food as we moved on to Arundel, but my friend assures me it is good. I will be visiting again.

The Adelaide, Teddington

Had a lovely pint of Kent's Best here on a quiet afternoon. It's been lovely weather so sat in the garden and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will make time to visit it again soon.

Tankerville, Hounslow

It might have been a "rubbish pub", but that photo brings back a few memories. It certainly looks better on that corner than the block of flats that have replaced it...As someone here commented "...you can turn a crap pub into a good one with a little effort. It's a lot harder to turn a block of flats into a pub of any sort." A real shame.

County Arms, Isleworth

Drove past on 17-12-2010. It looks like they are demolishing the old pub. No chance of that one re-opening.
It always did blow hot & cold. Banks was the only decent beer on offer and depending on who was running the place the food could be good or bad...A few years back they ran a good and cheap carvery and then a new manager came in and the food was awful...That's the last time I ate there and that was about three years ago.

The Red Lion, Isleworth

This is one of my favourite pubs for real ales. My mate comes all the way from Bognor Regis to see what they've got on tap...Well he does get free train travel. We have never been disappointed yet.

The Moon Under Water, Hounslow

When this pub first opened I went in to find beer glasses and bottles cluttering the tables as they were not cleared away by the staff...Also the "customers" were the rowdy youthful types, so I never went back there for a long time. Like all Wetherspoons pubs things settled down and now I enjoy the odd pint in here from time to time.
I can honestly say that during one of their beer festivals last year the staff here were very enthusiastic and patient, and dare I say it knowledgable, offering advice on the differant beers available.
Yes - I would go back again.

The original refurbishment, {about 2002}, when The Massive Pub Group took over was criminal. They took out the ancient bar that still had the old gas light fittings and replaced it with a bar that made it look like a hotel reception desk. Well only six or so years later the place is in dire need of some more work. The air con stopped working along time ago, tape holds the carpet together. At times some pretty bad drain smells emanate from somewhere, and the roof leaks so badly that the other day rain was pouring into the bar area into several buckets.
The selection of real ales is small but not bad, but watch out for the barmaid/man topping up a pint from the slops tray..!!
The bar staff seem a friendly bunch, and the "locals" are always good for a laugh...especially when a bloke called Immsy is in.
I believe the pub is now in new ownership after The Massive Pub Group went into administration, and rumours abound as to what they are going to do with it.
This isn't my favourite pub in Richmond. That has to be The Princes Head just up the road and on the Richmond Green.
