My wife and I have just moved to the area and we popped in the this pub for a light lunch. we have been to wetherspoons before and know what we can expect. as we walk in there was a lot of people at the bar. the pub was not very busy but the Que was large. my wife sat down and i went to the bar to order drinks before the food. i was waiting for at least 10 minutes and when i was served the bar lady was very nice and said sorry for the wait. i ordered a white coffee and an ale from a large selection. But when i ask for a coffee the bar lady rolled her eyes and seemed annoyed at me. she then poured half my drink and started to make the coffee, were she continued to chat to other members of staff at the coffee machine while people were waiting at the bar. All three bar staff were chatting and no one was serving. it took about 12-15 minute for me to be served in total.......WAY TO LONG. my wife and i left and had lunch at the salt bar down the road. I nice old looking pub. with good selection of ales, it just need a landlord who you can see, and could tell the staff to stop chatting. in all, not the best wetherspoon i have ever been to. will try again another day 1/10

not the best pub/bar in the world, but it does have some good points. again nice to see a clean place unlike the Wetherspoons on the same road. the staff were nice and the food was very good also. the garden is probably one of the best in the area, with pool table in a barn thing at the back. with patio heating and loads of space, i think it would be a great night out in the evening.the major downside to the pub is NO ALE!!! and they can be pricey. 6/10

I popped along Friday after being sold a S&J party ticket by an young enthusiastic manager, and i would say it was the best 1.50 i ever spent. on the night i walked up, where the same manager was on the door to greet me and check my ticket. my first drink of the night was FREE, Yes FREE, and a good selection of drink were 1.50. i was drinking Bulmers all night that the barmaid suggested, and said that it was a one off special, and it was great. free buffet, good music by a sensible DJ at the bar. Truly a fantastic night out in bedminster, which is a unusual thing. 10/10
