Good ales, cosy rooms. There are tables in the front courtyard, and a pleasant rear beer garden (though sadly this is often closed).

A once superb pub is now a scruffy, unpleasant shadow of its' former self. Fortunately there are good alternatives nearby!

This has become my favourite Shrewsbury pub. An excellent and changing selection of real ales. Superb old worlde atmoshphere. Friendly bar team. I wish the opening hours included all day on Sunday, and regret their decision to suspend Sunday lunches for the summer. Thoroughly recommended as a meeting place to enjoy a quiet pint or two though.

Queens Hotel, Carmarthen
A traditional and welcoming pub in Carmarthen town centre. A varying selection of three well kept real ales. Good value pub food at lunchtime.
