The Queens Head, Hammersmith

I visited The Queen's Head for the first time in about a year recently; even though I walk past it regularly I'd not made my way in since Fullers took it over. Having now been I can say without doubt that I'll be going in a lot more often (and already have been again since). I can only echo the past couple of comments and congratulate the staff and Fullers on providing a top notch place to drink and eat in Brook Green, with a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. I also like the mix of people there; youngsters and the more middle aged amongst us in equal measure, but all enjoying themselves. The only fault I can think of is parts of the inside do have the feel of a gastropub, and the clientele are quite on the 'posh' side (which doesn't bother me but might some people), but I think there are enough positives here to find that not be too much of a bother.

Have Fullers taken this over yet? It's in a great location and I live quite close by so have been meaning to visit again, I certainly will do soon if Fullers have worked their magic on it.

The Salutation, Hammersmith

I've been here a few times now and have not one bad word to say about the place, it's a brilliant pub and the beers and staff are excellent. Good mix of people in there in the evenings which makes for a great atmosphere, during the days it's quite quiet making it an ideal place for a relaxing afternoon pint. The garden is superb too.

The Bridge, Barnes

Not very impressive at all, quite dull and seems to be trying much too hard to be "trendy" (and failing). The food, as has been said, is none too impressive and the atmosphere was very muted. Not recommended.

O'Neills, Cannon Street

Went in today and it was full of kids, not sure if this is a regular thing but it put me off this place.

The Dartmouth Castle, Hammersmith

Not the greatest pub ever but worth stopping for a drink if you're around Hammersmith.

The Avenue, West Ealing

This is a nice place and they make great cocktails. I only went one evening after work to see what it was like but enjoyed it, and it looks like it'd be good to hire for a party. Good place to go if you're after something a bit different to a few pints down the pub.

The Drayton Court, West Ealing

Class pub this one, has real character and the beer's top quality. Another major advantage it has that no-one else has mentioned is the non smoking area. Should be great when open till late on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and the huge beer garden is perfect in the summer.

The Viaduct, Hanwell

This is a very good pub, certainly the best pub in Hanwell by miles. Head here if you're in the area.

The White Hart, Fulham Broadway

Small pub with absolutely nothing going for it other than a late lisence. Poor service and low quality, overpriced drinks (3 a pint of Stella). Can only think that those below who have said this pub was "great" are thinking of a different White Hart.

The William Morris, Hammersmith

Not that bad as Wetherspoons pubs go but it's still...Wetherspoons. Takes ages to get served in the evenings and the beer's not too good. Not awful though which is more than can be said for most Wetherspoons pubs.

The Crabtree, Hammersmith

Don't understand the person who said it was full of "yobs", it's not and Fulham don't have any "yobs" anyway.
