Wow, I was logging on to talk about my experience and come straight into a slanging match! Is this an example of the "friendly and mature drinkers" you describe? I agree, the ciders and ales are very good, and the bar staff generally friendly, but I do find the Landlord (I presume this is"the Adam") and his special friends tend to take over, making the place a pub for locals rather than passers by. While I was there I overheard them slagging off another customer, and it made me uncomfortable. And no, I'm not a member of a Nazi organisation.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Closest thing I've found to a country feel in this part of the world.

Have to agree with many of the other reviews. What used to be a delightful pub has now become a souless replica of many others with hideously overpriced drinks and mediocre food. If you've more money than sense or taste, this is the one for you!!

What a great little find. Lovely pub, great food, great atmosphere. Pie has gone somewhat downhill of late but this doesn't diminish what a lovely little spot it is.
