The Rose and Crown, Ludlow

Extremely disappointed. Poor quality beer, yet Cask Mark?!? Agree with previous people, sadly not worth trying.

The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow

Wasn't sure what to expect. 5 guys after beer and this place?

Pleasant surprise. The guy behind the bar was welcoming. Have to say, nice place.

Three pulls. Best beer we found in Ludlow.

Told they try to serve only local ales. The Hobsons Old Prickly was perfect. Nice mix of locals and fellow tourists.

Beers on offer on our visit, Ludlow brewery Best and Boiling Well and the Hobsons. One of use tried the Feather bat, 3 beers for £3.20. Brilliant!

The Queens, Ludlow

Pleasant pub/restaurant. Can't say us lads felt that welcome. Beer was good, especially the Butty Bach. Service was Okay, but could have been friendlier.

The Church Inn, Ludlow

Lads weekend in Ludlow. Tried the Church, Ludlow Boiling Well, Wye Valley, have to say bit disappointed. Beer was average quality. Service pretty poor. Pub's sadly a bit of a letdown.

Hales Bar, Harrogate

Apparently the oldest pub in Harrogate.Victorian-style interior with original gas lighting over the bar and there’s a separate snug. There are six beers serving a local range of beers including Hales Ale specially brewed by Daleside. I tried the Daleside Old Leg Over and proved to be a good choice. Well kept and served. Also to note, they serve good pub grub as well. Very friendly bar staff helped make the visit.

The Isis, Sunderland

I visited this pub on a pub crawl of Sunderland. There was a large selection of 12 beers from independent breweries including Jarrow Rivet Catcher and American IPA, all in great condition. Local pamphlets on ale trails and brewery news are available. Both the barman and the locals were friendly and were happy to give information on the area and directions. Superb!!
