Pool table is back by the way re: previous review! Dart board isn't though :( As previously said Maria is an fantastic landlady and it's a great pub, if a bit light on the ales. That being said, I normally have Stella here and it's a really lovely pint of it.

Was down here for the Ice Hockey in November. Good, reasonably priced drinks, good food, well worth a visit. Like others have said, it doesn't look much from the outside, but don't let that put you off, it's well worth it.

Went there this weekend on Saturday by accident, and thought the food was throughly excellent. Excellent beer as well, had a pint of Black Horse and 6X, both of which were plesent.
As for the food prices, We had a two course meal for two, and spent just under 40. Previous review was in 2007 so not sure if it's changed hands, but certatinly very good value for money.

Hasn't been a review on here for a while so I thought i'd post one, went in there the other day, simply fantastic. As djl said, it's not about the real ale it's about types of beer from all over the world and the range is amazing. Very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful place to spend an afternoon.
