The Nell Gwynne, Covent Garden
I love this place, a nice atmosphere and a great jukebox. Slightly odd in that you can't quite tell when it'll be rammed full and when it'll be empty.
The normal barstaff are really friendly, but unfortunately last time I went there we had to leave because they really cranked the music up too loud (i.e. couldn't even shout at one another). I hope that's not a trend.

The Grove Tavern, South Wimbledon
I saw a band here the other week, and was really impressed by the sound quality. A shame there was no bitter, but it didn't detract from a good evening.

Great news that the miserable bar staff have left. We stopped going here because of them, yet it used to be one of my favourites. A good excuse for a pint.
